WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING MY FIRST VISIT
Your therapist will spend a lot of time talking to you and hearing your story, medical history, and goals. Then they will perform a physical assessment and take some obejective measurements based on your pain and limitations. You and your therapist will come up with a game plan together to get you back on the road to recovery. You will end the session with some treatment and/or some specific corrective exercises to get you started at home.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Wear workout clothing, or something you can freely move in comfortably. If you have lower body symptoms then please bring shorts. If you are coming in for shoulder or neck related symptoms we encourage women to wear a sports bra or a top that exposes the shoulder blade area.
DO I NEED A DOCTOR’S REFERRAL?
In the state of Colorado you do not need a doctor's referral prior to seeing a physical therapist. Come on in!
CAN I USE MY HSA OR FSA FUNDS?
Definitely!
WHAT TYPES OF HEALTH INSURANCE DO YOU ACCEPT?
Renovo Physical Therapy and Wellness is a fee-for-service practice, which means we do not bill insurance. If requested, we can provide you with a "Superbill" which you can submit to your insurance for any available out-of-network benefits/reimbursement. Here is a link to a list of questions that may be helpful to ask of your insurance company to see how they might reimburse you for out-of-network services.
WHY DON'T YOU TAKE MY INSURANCE
Simply put, we believe it is better for the patient AND the therapist not to go through an insurance provider. Declining insurance reimbursement rates have caused most PT clinics to have to co-treat multiple patients at the same time and/or treat excessive amounts of people daily, which we believe dilutes the product that physical therapy provides. Additionally, insurance companies frequently deny the more performance based therapies that Renovo, and other fitness forward PT's, offer. We believe that our patients deserve the best care, and we will not let insurance companies determine your care.
